When I was young, I escaped into books. Fantasy realms felt more like home than my own house, and the characters I met felt more like friends than anyone I had in my life. This soon transformed reading into more than just a hobby. It became an obsession, a way of life that has never left me.

A natural evolution came when I started writing. I picked up a pen in elementary school and just poured my tiny little heart into every word. It was awful, as all little kids' writings are, but it was mine and I was so proud. Thanks to encouraging teachers (who always seemed to appear in my life the exact moment I needed them), I continued writing all throughout my time in school. I even studied Creative Writing as part of what I like to call my "college cocktail."

Nowadays, you can find me working at my local library, writing, editing, and chasing down what my brain insists will be my next hyperfixation. I have a couple publishing credits to my name, but my goal is to publish a variety of personal essays/prose poetry and eventually to write a compilation of one or the other, or even both (separately, of course).
